Make sure your headset is:
Fully plugged into the correct port (usually the green one or USB).
If it's wireless (like Bluetooth), make sure it's connected and charged.
âś… Tip: If your headset has a mute switch or volume wheel, make sure it's not muted and turned up.
Let’s tell your computer which device to use for speakers (output) and microphone (input).
Right-click the speaker icon (bottom-right of your screen).
Click “Sounds” or “Sound settings.”
Under Output, choose your headset for sound.
Under Input, choose your microphone (usually part of your headset).
✅ Tip: Speak into your mic — the volume bar should move under Input if it’s working.
Launch FiveM.
On the home screen (before joining any server), click the gear ⚙️ icon in the top-right for Settings.
Go to the “Voice Chat” tab.
Now check:
âś… Enable Voice Chat: Must be ON
âś… Output Device: Set to your headset
âś… Input Device: Set to your mic
âś… Voice Chat Volume: Set this to at least 50-100%
âś… Microphone Volume: Should be near 100% to start
🔄 If you change anything, restart FiveM just to be safe.
Once you're in a server:
Hold down your Push-to-Talk key (default is N).
Speak while holding N — some servers show a mic icon when you're talking.
Ask someone nearby: “Hey, can you hear me?”
If they say yes — you're good to go!
✅ Optional: Some servers use TokoVOIP or pma-voice, which work the same, but may have radios or phone systems with hotkeys (ask in that server’s Discord if unsure).
Make sure you picked the right input/output in both Windows AND FiveM.
Double check your headset isn’t muted.
Unplug it, plug it back in, then restart FiveM.
Make sure “Enable Voice Chat” is ON in FiveM.
Mic volume might be too low.
Try using a different USB port or headset if possible.
Voice chat may be off in FiveM.
Server might use a separate VOIP system — check their Discord for details.
Always test your mic before flying into a city.
Use Discord or Voice Recorder on Windows to check how your mic sounds.
If something breaks after it worked before, restart your PC — it solves more than you think.
With your headset and mic working, you're ready to chat with locals, talk to EMS, negotiate with cops, or run your gang. Communication is key in RP — now you’ve got it covered.
